Tax The Rich!
Millions of our neighbors across New York State are facing unemployment, the threat of eviction, and COVID-19. But America's billionaires have seen their net worth rise by over $1 trillion since March. Our state is facing a $15 billion budget hole this year. Cuomo repeatedly puts cuts to schools, hospitals, and transportation on the table. We cannot allow for the budget to be balanced on the back of working class New Yorkers. The solution is sensible and obvious -- we need to tax the rich!
Lower Hudson Valley DSA has joined a statewide coalition to make taxing the rich a central priority and we need a widespread working class movement to make it happen! This is the time to get involved and make it happen.
Ways to get involved
We hosted two campaign kick-offs through teach-ins to launch our campaign in the Lower Hudson Valley. If you are interested you can watch the recording here:
Tax The Rich Week of Action
